Split Excel file into separate files
Excel is essential, and Python is the future - forcing ourselves to practice the latter by automating some of the common tasks that we are faced with as accountants will get us ready to develop more useful scripts and applications in the future.
Most recently we have developed one of the scripts we built last year to split out an Excel file based on unique values found in the first column while keeping the formatting of the original file. This is a major time saver for something that most non-coding professionals would look at and immediately want to curl up under their desk..
